In 1952, Bert Chesnut started his accounting career at a CPA firm in Indiana and soon (1958) opened his own firm. Bert & Richard Bradley (Bert's son-in-law) started Chesnut & Bradley, P.A. in September of 1992 in a small office in Bert’s home, in St. Cloud. In July of 1997 Chesnut & Bradley was merged into Chesnut, Bradley & Hemphill, Inc. and we currently employ nine employees, on a full-time basis. This last tax season (2003 Tax Year) we prepared over 190 Corporate/Partnership Income Tax Returns (In 1998 we prepared 86) and over 350 Individual Income Tax Returns (In 1998 we prepared 128). This rapid growth is a direct result of "word of mouth" advertising from our clients, since we do very little actual advertising.
