Charles N. Bendes has practiced law in Oakland, California, since 1977. Mr. Bendes' practice areas include business and real estate litigation and transactions, commercial and residential leases and landlord-tenant matters, construction matters, corporate and partnership law, non marital domestic partnership matters, professional negligence, and complex civil litigation. He is a member of the Alameda County Bar Association's Trial Practice and Real Estate Law Sections, the Earl Warren American Inn of Court, and the State Bar of California's Business Law and Real Estate Sections. He is a past president of the Alameda County Bar Foundation, a past member of the Board of Directors of Bay Area Legal Aid, and presently serves on the Boards of Directors of the Alameda County Bar Association and the ACBA Volunteer Legal Services Corporation. Mr. Bendes received his B.A. degree in 1973 from Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio, and his J.D. degree in 1976 from the University of Santa Clara School of Law in Santa Clara, California, summa cum laude.
