About Ancora Coffee Roasters
During numerous visits to family in the midwest, we began to envision turning our lifelong love for great coffees into a business venture. In 1993, we decided to move to Madison, Wisconsin, where we saw an opportunity to realize our dream of offering hand crafted coffees to an appreciative public. Prior to moving to Madison, we had been living for over twenty years in the Seattle, Washington, area — the heart of the espresso and specialty coffee industry in the United States! This afforded us the chance to study and train with a master roaster in preparation for turning our passion into our business. Our dream was to seek out the finest coffees available from around the world and craft roast them to perfection.
