Our Charter Pastoral Counselors and Care Givers, due to the religious nature of their services, are not bound by traditional secular therapy and State licensing procedures in most States. AAPCCG.org, and several other independent organizations, create standards of education and experience for Pastoral Counselors and Care Givers. If your Pastoral Counselor is certified by one of the pastoral care or religious organizations that we audit, you can be assured of their professionalism. Your Counselor's certification will show the organization we audited as following our standards, and you can click HERE to be sure their status is current. Because the States must keep religious and pastoral counseling and care giving separate due to the Constitution, we play an important middle role in monitoring Pastoral Counselor credentialing.
